Casa Grande approved a three-year contract with CYVL, becoming the first city in Arizona to adopt AI-powered roadway assessment technology after a successful pilot.

Casa Grande approved a three-year contract with CYVL, becoming the first city in Arizona to adopt AI-powered roadway assessment technology. The unanimous council vote followed a successful pilot, where staff reported that “the service worked perfectly — it was seamless.”
“It's very impressive, the detailed information that is produced — we've got that video recording of each deficiency.”
Kevin Louis, Public Works Director, Casa Grande
According to Casa Grande staff, the new system will support the city's pavement management model, expand multi-asset inventory capabilities, and allow more frequent updates at lower long-term cost.
