City road data
Your city's roads, answered.
Plain-language answers for residents, engineers, and public works teams looking up local road conditions and paving plans.
Can I see my city's road conditions on a map?
For a growing set of U.S. cities, yes. CYVL has captured and automatically scored downtown pavement in cities across the country and published each one as a free, interactive map. Pick your city from the map or the by-state list above to see real street-by-street condition scores — and if your city isn't listed yet, you can request a capture.
How do I find the worst roads in my city?
Open your city's demo page and look at the live map: every street segment is scored individually and colored by condition, so segments shaded orange to dark red (Poor, Very Poor, Serious, or Failed) are the worst-rated. Click any segment to see its street name and exact Pavement Condition Index (PCI) score.
How does CYVL score road conditions?
CYVL mounts survey-grade LiDAR and 360° cameras on a fleet vehicle, drives the network, and uses AI to detect pavement distresses and compute a 0–100 Pavement Condition Index for every segment — validated against the ASTM D6433 standard. That replaces slow, subjective windshield surveys with consistent, network-wide ground truth.
Can my city get a full pavement report and paving plan?
Yes. These public demos are downtown samples. CYVL can capture an entire city network in days and turn the condition data into ranked, defensible multi-year paving and capital plans. Book a demo to walk through your city's full data.
