Takoma Park reordered its repaving list with yearly road scores, replacing a five-year survey.

Takoma Park paid an engineering firm to rate its streets every five years, because that was what the budget allowed. In between, the paving list ran on old scores and what staff saw in the field.

Once a year, city staff now map every street themselves with equipment from Cyvl. The new road scores changed which streets get repaved first. The street photos and 3D views became an everyday tool too: the construction manager checks sidewalk grades for design work, measures trees for code enforcement, and records where trenches sit before they are paved over.
