Atlanta cut downtown potholes by 60% and expanded the same approach to all 1,450 miles.
Downtown pavement scores rose from 63.5 to 75.3, from fair to good, ahead of World Cup crowds.
- 60%
- fewer downtown potholes than in 2024, per ATLDOT
- 75.3
- downtown pavement score in 2026, up from 63.5
Atlanta maintains about 1,450 miles of streets. With World Cup crowds on the way, ATLDOT needed to know which downtown streets to fix first, without waiting months for a manual survey.
Cyvl gave every downtown street a pavement score, backed by street photos and 3D views, and ATLDOT used the scores to guide its Downtown Pavement Program. The city reports 60% fewer downtown potholes than in 2024, and the downtown pavement score rose from 63.5 to 75.3. ATLDOT is now using the same approach citywide, adding sidewalks, curb ramps and signs.
