St. Joseph County now gets road ratings every 15 feet instead of mile by mile.
Ratings every 15 feet replaced one score per mile, and the sign data now answers residents' truck-route questions.

St. Joseph County rated its roads by hand. Staff drove a section, usually a mile, and gave it one PASER score, the 1-to-10 road rating the county reports to the state.
Cyvl now rates the roads every 15 feet and map signs and striping on the same drive. Cyvl tuned the ratings to the county's scoring, and staff say the results are close to what they expected. The county uses the sign data to answer residents asking which roads bar trucks, and used the striping data to scope a striping bid.
