Oregon City now gets pavement scores every year for roughly what one three-year survey cost.

Oregon City paid a consultant for a full pavement survey every three years. In the two years between, staff estimated scores in software, so the city's five-year paving plan was sometimes built on old numbers.

Now city staff map all of the city's roughly 150 miles of streets themselves in about three days each year, with Cyvl equipment on a city pickup, for about the price of the old three-year survey. The first network average matched the consultant's at 77, and staff can click any street to see photos of its cracks. The data will help shape the city's 2027 and 2028 maintenance work.
