North Bend's four-person streets crew rated every city road and showed residents the worst ones.

North Bend keeps about 70 miles of streets with a four-person Streets Division. Many roads are over 40 years old, and the yearly budget rebuilds about a quarter mile. Staff estimates and resident pressure decided which streets came first.

In January, city staff mapped every road with Cyvl. The city published the results: a citywide score of 75, with its worst segment at 24. The public works director showed the map and photos of the worst streets at a town hall. He is building a five-year paving plan for council in Cyvl's planner. The same street photos now help staff check which homes are duplexes for a wastewater audit.
